Install VirtualBox (free & open source) + any Linux desktop or Windows.

I use VirtualBox on several Macs and PCs to run some Windows software.

Tried it several months ago, it simply didn't worked.

From discussion here dated summer 2018:

Unfortunately, official support for a macOS Spice client is still not

in the pipeline.

May be you could try to rebuild it with homebrew or finkproject.

I use mac to manage Ovirt and I find the best method is to set vnc on VM
and choose no vnc option, this way you can launch right from a web browser

you can use VNC but spice,I always use vmvare's VM to connect,let things be easy is best way!

The *dmg *.pkg etc. didnât work for me too.

So my solution on macOS (10.11) is:

*** Install Homebrew

$ /usr/bin/ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL** https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)"

*** Install virt-viewer

$ brew tap jeffreywildman/homebrew-virt-manager

* Use a shell script to open console.vv file like remote-viewer.sh

#!/bin/sh -eu

set $( ls $HOME/Downloads/console*.vv | tee -a /dev/tty | tail -1)

/usr/local/bin/remote-viewer "$@" ; rm -f $HOME/Downloads/console*.vv &

because i didnât get configured a âactionâ for *.vv files.

$ remote-viewer.sh

Enhancements are welcome!
